The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kennedy ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Parmesan keeping at a good range here, avoiding a leg kick.
Parmesan attempts a counter takedown but Kennedy avoids it well and moves away.
Kennedy is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Parmesan throws a body shot but no joy.
Kennedy misses with a hook
and Parmesan counters with a nice double leg into half guard.
Kennedy is defending against the submission attempts here by Parmesan.
Parmesan trying to control the action but Kennedy is working from the bottom.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Kennedy is looking to regain full guard. He's left an arm up in the air though and Parmesan has latched onto it... Big trouble! Parmesan pivots for an armbar - it's in tight and it Kennedy is tapping in no time flat! Great counter grappling there from Parmesan!
