The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Alves lands a jab to the nose.
Wilson throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Alves looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Alves throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Wilson takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
Alves keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Alves shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Wilson but Wilson pushes him off and we're back to square one.

George Wilson seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Alves looks up at the clock and then as Wilson takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Alves smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!

Alves has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Wilson takes an elbow right on the bridge of the nose and winces in pain.

Alves cracks Wilson with a big right hand but Wilson just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.

Alves in side control here. He's dropped a big elbow there and Wilson looks hurt! Oh, he is hurt! Alves turns on the heat and pounds him out for a TKO victory! Good killer instinct there!
