Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Nisse Indian (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jason Li (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Indian's entrance music is The Last of the Mohicans. A fine choice. Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 9 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Nisse Indian!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 9 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Jason Li!
The judges for this bout are Radbod Blank, Daniel Blasius and Albert Achterberg.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Li shoots in for a takedown but Indian shows good takedown defense.
Indian misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Li.
Indian misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Li misses with a right hand
and Indian counters with a straight right hand.

Indian rushes Li and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.

Indian wants the takedown. Li is fighting it off but Indian persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Li's guard against the cage.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Li wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now.
Indian wants to stand but Li is controlling his posture from full guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Li looking to hit a scissor sweep but Indian is one step ahead there.

Indian wants to control from the top but Li keeps moving.
Indian won't allow Li to sweep him here.
Li is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Indian wants to control but Li is keeping busy.
Indian is trying to get back to full guard.
Indian is looking to escape.
Indian tries to roll over but Li keeps him under control.
Indian tries to kick Li off but Li keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.

Indian has hold of Li's hands but Li slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Li wants to control but Indian is keeping him busy.
The fighters are battling for position here. Indian manages to regain full guard. Nice work.

Indian is looking for a triangle but Li pushes his legs off easily.
Li is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact.

Indian wants to stand and escape but Li is having none of it.

Li stands up over Indian, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.
Indian manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Li manages to get himself to full guard.

Indian wants to get up but he can't break Li's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.
Li looking to hit a scissor sweep but Indian is one step ahead there.

Li has managed to wall walk up one of the corner posts to get back to his feet. Indian is pushing him up against the cage, looking to control the position.
Indian lands a good knee to the midsection. Li won't want to take too many of those.
Indian stalls.

Li has dropped down and is working for a takedown. Indian is trying to keep an underhook but Li manages to get the takedown into half guard.
Li throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.
Li thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Indian trying to control here.
Indian regains full guard, whilst avoiding punches from Li.
Indian throws some sloppy strikes off his back.
Indian is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Li is controlling him.
Li throws a big right hand that misses.

Indian looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Li landing with the ground and pound.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Li postures up.

Indian has his feet on Li's hips. He pushes off and gets to his feet. Nice work.
Li misses with a wild body shot.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Nisse Indian will probably get the nod.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.


Indian avoids the body shot from Li.
Indian uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.
Li changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Indian tries to avoid it but Li manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Indian to the ground. Indian escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Li is defended easily by Indian.

Indian pushes Li up against the cage in a clinch.
Indian gets underhooks to prevent Li's takedown attempt.
Nisse Indian has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jason Li.

Indian gets control of Li's arms and successfully pulls guard. Indian will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.

Li is in close to Indian's body, working some short punches and elbows.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

Li manages to escape and get back to his feet!

Li closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.

Indian trying desperately to get back to his feet here but he's not having any joy at all. He's going to tire himself out if he's not careful.

Indian tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Li wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.

Li wants to lay and pray for a moment but Indian keeps working.
Indian is trying to control Li's posture but Li avoids it.
Li grinds an elbow into Indian's temple.
Indian prevents Li from improving position.
You can see the frustration on Indian's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
Indian regains half guard.
Indian on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Indian moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.
Li stops Indian from standing up.
In the pre-fight buildup videos we saw Li working his ground and pound in the gym.
Li stands up over Indian, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.


Indian is rocked!
Li arches his back and unloads with a massive left and a right! Indian's eyes roll back into his head, he's out cold! The ref dives in to stop the fight - wow, they were hard shots!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:37 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Strikes). Jason Li!
Jason Li bigged himself up after the win. The crowd seemed to love it.
Nisse Indian spoke after the fight, saying 'my spirit will return my people will return'.
