Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
0 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Lucius Hodge!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Drew Petrie!
The judges for this bout are Summer Carpenter, Topper Green and Ben Hemmingworth.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Petrie gets in close and instigates a clinch.
Petrie swings away with an uppercut that misses.
Hodge decides to pull guard.
Petrie throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Hodge works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
Petrie postures up.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Hodge wants to stand and escape but Petrie is having none of it.
Hodge throws a couple of weedy looking strikes off his back.
Hodge might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Hodge wants to get back to his feet but Petrie is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
Hodge trying to keep a closed guard but Petrie is proving a slippery customer.
Hodge could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Hodge wants to sweep here but Petrie controlling him for the moment.
Hodge controls Petrie momentarily but Petrie frees himself.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Hodge thows some rabbit punches from the bottom but they don't do any damage.
The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.
Petrie throws a series of strikes that have Hodge backpedaling.
It looks like Lucius Hodge has been cut.
Petrie scores to the head and body with a nice combination!
That's one minute gone in the round.
Hodge takes one to the chin there.
Petrie misses with a double jab
and Hodge holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.
Hodge drags the fight down to the ground.
Hodge is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Petrie is controlling him.
Hodge is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.
Drew Petrie seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Hodge shoots in for a double leg but Petrie sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Petrie throws a series of strikes that have Hodge backpedaling.
Petrie scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Hodge doesn't seem bothered though.
Petrie keeps the fight on the outside.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Petrie scores with a three punch combo!
Petrie connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Hodge's hands.
Petrie works the jab nicely.
That's three minutes gone in the round.
The crowd cheers as Petrie lands an impressive looking overhand right. Hodge doesn't seem phased though.
A right-left combo lands from Petrie.
Petrie tests Hodge's chin there with a solid looking shot.
Hodge is rocked!
Petrie is using his reach advantage to land shots from outside his opponent's range.
Petrie throws an overhand right from the outside, which connects and sends Hodge stumbling backwards into the cage! Hodge bounces back off the cage towards Petrie, who cracks him with a two punch combination that drops him to his knees! Petrie lands two more shots before the referee has chance to intervene - what a finish! Petrie celebrates with his corner as the crowd cheer loudly.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:28 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punches). Drew Petrie!
