Coxwell comes to the cage accompanied by Konflict: Messiah (Nosia Remix). Farrel has chosen Chemical Brothers Block Rockin Beats as his entrance music. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.

The judges for this bout are Dillan Fox, Trevor Gratis and Robert Douchet.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Coxwell tries for a takedown but Farrel sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Farrel displaying good standup as he scores with a three punch combination.

Farrel closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Coxwell is putting a lot of effort into getting back to his feet here.
Farrel is looking to take a break and control but Coxwell is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Coxwell tries to wriggle free to get back to his feet but he's given up his back! Oops.
Coxwell is trying to get back to his feet but he's not managed it yet.
Farrel cracks Coxwell with a big shot to body and one to the head - really punishing Coxwell from the back mount here, looking to soften him up.
Farrel wants to control but Coxwell is keeping busy.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Farrel has the hooks sunk in and you can see the will to fight slowly draining out of Coxwell's body.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Farrel is hanging on to Coxwell's back as he tries to escape.

I really don't envy Coxwell right now.

Farrel throwing strikes from the back - he gets a warning from the referee for striking the back of the head but all these shots are hurting Coxwell!

Farrel seems to be going for a rear naked choke. He has an arm under Coxwell's chin but Coxwell turns very nicely into Farrel's guard. Good BJJ skills being displayed there by Coxwell.

Coxwell wants to stand and escape but Farrel is having none of it.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.

Farrel instigates a clinch.
Coxwell wants to break free but Farrel has control.
Coxwell prevents a body shot from Farrel.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!

Coxwell tries to pull guard but Farrel holds him up against the cage and eventually Coxwell drops back down to his feet.

Farrel closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.

Farrel drops an elbow to the side of Coxwell's head.
Farrel is figuring out what he wants to do next.

Farrel has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Coxwell's face.

and Farrel counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Farrel.

Coxwell throws a low kick, looking for Farrel's leg but Farrel calmly moves out of range.

The fight stays on the outside here - Coxwell looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Coxwell throws out a loose jab but Farrel uses good head movement to avoid it.

and Coxwell counters with a series of strikes. Farrel will be more careful next time no doubt.
Coxwell takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.
Farrel slips a jab and a cross from Coxwell.
Coxwell lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.


It looks like Tyson Farrel has been cut.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Coxwell drops Farrel with a straight right hand, right on the button! Coxwell follows him down to the mat and pounds him out with hammerfists until the referee jumps in to end the fight!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:58 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Peter Coxwell!
