Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Owen Xenon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and PJ Benn (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
5 - 10 - 1, fighting out of Tokyo, Owen Xenon! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
5 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, PJ Benn! The judges for this bout are Ryoma Takatsuka, Josh West and Roger Salmon.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Xenon dives in for a single leg takedown but Benn sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage. Nice sprawl there from Xenon as Benn shoots in. Xenon drives through with a takedown into guard. Benn preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Benn is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Xenon defends well. Xenon tries to free his leg and advance position but Benn is retaining full guard. Xenon will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Xenon is working Benn over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Benn is pulling down on Xenon's head. It's preventing any offense from Xenon, at least for the moment. Benn looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.

That's one minute gone in the round. Benn trying to control the position.
Benn had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Xenon defends it easily. Xenon loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Benn working away from the bottom but not quite defensive enough there because Xenon has passed into half guard!
Benn gets full guard. Xenon working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Xenon stands up from guard. Let's bang!
That's two minutes gone in the round. Xenon shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Benn manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage. Xenon postures up in Benn's guard and throws a big left but Benn blocks it. Xenon has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. Benn is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. Benn escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Xenon gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Xenon avoids a guillotine attempt easily.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Xenon trying to move into half guard but instead Benn has managed to sweep! Xenon keeping moving, preventing Benn from controlling successfully. Benn gets to his feet. Xenon looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son! Xenon closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth. Benn is trying to control Xenon's posture but Xenon avoids it. Xenon works a knee to the body and follows up with a nice elbow to the head. An elbow from Xenon crashes against the mat.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Xenon looks up at the clock and then as Benn takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Xenon smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!
Xenon lands an elbow. Xenon tries to move into full mount but can't pass Benn's legs. Xenon is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Benn is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Xenon tries to advance to mount but Benn denies him. Benn is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Xenon's leg. He's managed it. Nice work. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Owen Xenon dominated that round. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
Benn scores with a three punch combo!
Nice takedown defense from Xenon. No joy for Benn on that attempt. Benn throws a series of punches but Xenon moves out of range. Benn gets the takedown into side control. Benn is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Xenon has escaped the position, nice work there. Benn fails to land a wild elbow strike.
Xenon is looking for a sweep. Benn has worked his way into a potential kimura here. Xenon is trying to get out of the position but his squirming has just got him deeper into trouble. Benn yanks on the arm and Xenon is forced to tap due to a very painful looking submission! Nice work by Benn.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:57 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). PJ Benn! Our winner, PJ Benn, made sure he spent some time buttering up the crowd during his post fight interview, which will no doubt bring him a few more fans.
