Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ricky Butler (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Strategos Themistokles (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have solid standup skills and neither is particularly fantastic on the ground, so let's hope for a nice standup war!

The judges for this bout are , Jack Bonds and Timothy Bukovac.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Butler misses with a two punch combination.
A looping hook to the body misses from Butler. Themistokles does a little dance to reset his feet.
Butler backing away here, and Themistokles unleashes a leg kick that just misses.
Themistokles thows a body kick. Butler tries to catch it but that hurt him.
Themistokles connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.
Butler has been working on his boxing with his coaches at Last Dragon MMA in the buildup to the fight.
Themistokles fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Butler has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.
Themistokles lands a head kick!
Themistokles scores with a nice strike.
Butler takes one on the chin but seems OK.

Themistokles has been working on his striking defense in training and it's paying off as Butler is landing a low percentage of strikes.

Butler went nuts there looking for a big combo counter but none of the flurry connected.
