Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Murdo Murchison! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
12 - 11 - 0, fighting out of New York, Imperiex Prime! The judges for this bout are Steven Brown, Richard Clark and Colin Fotheringham.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Murchison throws a series of punches but Prime avoids them all with ease. Sloppy strikes from Prime. Those never looked like landing. Prime misses with a double jab.
Prime dodges the punch combination from Murchison.
Prime throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Murchison. Prime scores with a punch to the head. Prime throws a right and a left that both miss. Murchison slips a jab from Prime. Murchison half commits to a counter takedown before pushing away, out of range. Murchison lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Prime circles away quickly and effectively. Murchison sets himself, and Prime steps forward looking for the clinch! Murchison avoids it this time. Prime has been working on his striking defense in training and it's paying off as Murchison is landing a low percentage of strikes. Prime throws a hook but Murchison avoids it easily. Prime misses with a wild combination.
Murchison shoots in looking for a takedown but Prime manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Murchison's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Murchison tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Prime was well out of range. Poor timing from Murchison. It seemed like Prime was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it. Murchison will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
A telegraphed right hand from Prime misses the target. Murchison half commits to a counter takedown before pushing away, out of range. Murchison has been working on his boxing with his coaches at The Fortress in the buildup to the fight. Murchison misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
That's one minute gone in the round. Horrible takedown attempt by Murchison or perhaps it was just good defense by Prime, which made it look bad. Murchison throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Prime moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot. A punch combination from Murchison misses. Prime lands a left and a right that send Murchison crashing to the mat, dazed. Prime thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!
Murchison is rocked!
It looks like Murdo Murchison has been cut. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Prime misses with the combination.
Murchison is looking for a counter combo. Oh Murchison is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! Murdo Murchison seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Prime throws an overhand right that has Murchison reeling! Prime follows up with more punches and Murchison is out cold! This one is all over!
