Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Steve Harris!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Herman Green!
The judges for this bout are Jorge Garcia, Dean Styles and Russell Pearce.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Harris fails with a takedown attempt.
Green throws a series of strikes that have Harris backpedaling.

Harris closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Harris wants to stand but Green has hold of a leg and an arm, so he's trapped for now.
Green works his way to full guard. Good work.
Harris in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
Harris has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.
Harris wanted to stand there but Green had control of the position.
Green managing to control the position.
Harris wants to get up but he can't break Green's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Green trying to keep a closed guard but Harris is proving a slippery customer.
Harris trying to stand up but can't free himself from Green's guard.

Green escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Harris gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Green has his foot on Harris's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Harris works his way back into a safe position though.
Green looks gassed!

Green is looking for a triangle but Harris pushes his legs off easily.
Harris working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
Harris is looking to stand up but Green won't let him.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Green trying to keep a closed guard but Harris is proving a slippery customer.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Harris wants to stand but Green has a closed guard, so he can't escape.

Green working for a triangle but Harris defends it easily.
Harris tries to free his leg and advance position but Green is retaining full guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Green pushes a forearm under Harris's chin to create some space. He's escaped his hips and pivoted quickly for an armbar! Can he extend the arm? Yes, Harris is tapping out! Damn, that was fast!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:01 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Herman Green!
