The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Karhu throws a half hearted mid kick.
Ufcowski jr misses with a few strikes there.
Ufcowski jr looks to score with a jab to the body but Karhu is just out of range.
Karhu tries to score with a low kick but Ufcowski jr moves his leg out of the way.
Ufcowski jr was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger.
Ufcowski jr connects with a jab.
Ufcowski jr looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Ufcowski jr's corner calls for a 1-2. Ufcowski jr obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.
Karhu's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Ufcowski jr connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Karhu scrambles back to his feet.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Karhu fakes a jab and throws a low kick but Ufcowski jr checks it well.

Karhu uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Ufcowski jr.
Ufcowski jr throws a front kick that sends Karhu stumbling back into the cage.

and Ufcowski jr counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Karhu throws a head kick that misses.
A solid leg kick lands there for Ufcowski jr.
Karhu throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Karhu lands a nice leg kick that just misses Ufcowski jr's sensitive parts.
Ufcowski jr misses with a looping left.

And Karhu tries to counter it with a takedown but Ufcowski jr pushes his down on his head and steps out.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Ufcowski jr gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.

Karhu got a little sloppy there for a moment and Ufcowski jr has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Karhu has managed to get both his arms back between Ufcowski jr's legs - danger averted.

Karhu looking to improve position, pressing down on Ufcowski jr's thigh with his hand. Ufcowski jr seems to be working to lock up a guilotine though... is Karhu paying attention? Apparently not! He's locked it up tight! Karhu's face has turned purple! Will he tap? Will he! YES! He's tapped! Ufcowski jr picked his opening and made it count! Great finish!

After winning the bout, Pawel Ufcowski jr thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
