Setright has chosen The Dagger as his entrance music. There are an array of beautiful celebrities at ringside tonight! I wonder if any of them paid for their tickets.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the welterweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
33 - 17 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Aoki Funkyama! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
10 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Jai Setright! The judges for this bout are Steve Smith, Elvis Blanc and Yves DeLean.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Funkyama shoots in looking for a takedown but Setright manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Funkyama's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. Funkyama looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight. Setright lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw. Setright wants to clinch. Funkyama fails to land the takedown. Funkyama moves out of range of the strikes. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Setright misses with a looping left. Nice straight punches there by Setright. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Setright. Setright pulls out of a head kick attempt.

That's one minute gone in the round. Funkyama throws a big elbow that misses. Setright wants to sweep here but Funkyama controlling him for the moment. Funkyama looking to pass the guard. The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Setright throws a nice inside leg kick. Funkyama shoots in for a takedown but Setright shows good takedown defense. Setright stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Setright wants it to stay on the feet. Funkyama shoots in for a takedown but Setright shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. Funkyama fails with the takedown.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Setright stalks Funkyama and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Funkyama's face. Funkyama staggers backwards, shaken.
It looks like Aoki Funkyama has been cut. Setright connects with a jab. Setright has been working on his striking defense in training and it's paying off as Funkyama is landing a low percentage of strikes. Setright defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Funkyama. Setright throws a chopping leg kick but Funkyama manages to avoid taking any serious damage. Funkyama looking to score a takedown here. Setright is defending well but Funkyama drives through and ends up in Setright's guard. Funkyama throws an elbow that misses. Setright uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Funkyama's guard. Nice move by Setright!

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Funkyama thows a huge punch but Setright dodges it nicely.
Setright tries to get to full guard but Funkyama has control of the leg. Setright is looking to control Funkyama's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Setright avoid being mounted? We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Funkyama is looking to advance position but Setright won't allow it. Funkyama slips nicely into half guard. Setright has hold of Funkyama's hands but Funkyama slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow. Setright moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard. Funkyama is fighting to break Setright's control of his arms but Setright is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Setright throws a leg kick that is checked and Funkyama counters with a shoot takedown into half guard. Setright tries to kick Funkyama off but Funkyama keeps his base steady and stays in half guard. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Funkyama thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas. Funkyama trying to advance position but Setright counters by regaining guard. Setright bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Funkyama's guard.
Funkyama is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. Funkyama is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Setright defends well. Funkyama tries to land a sweep but no joy.

Funkyama escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Setright gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Funkyama keeping moving, preventing Setright from controlling successfully. Setright wants to stand but Funkyama has a closed guard, so he can't escape. Setright must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Funkyama throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.

Setright bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Funkyama's head. Funkyama gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Setright. Funkyama tries to clinch there but Setright circles away.
Setright unleashes a big counter combination but Funkyama bobs and weaves and avoids any damage. Setright lands a left and a right that send Funkyama crashing to the mat, dazed. Setright thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!
Funkyama is rocked! Setright has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Funkyama finds it's way round the side to connect with Setright's head. Oh Funkyama is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! An inside leg kick lands from Setright. Setright pounces like a tiger and cracks Funkyama with a vicious hook! Funkyama is down but not out! Setright follows up with more strikes forcing the ref to jump in and stop it!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:41 of round 4, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punches). Jai Setright! Jai Setright is the new welterweight champion! A relieved looking Jai Setright thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
