Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Emmitt Dixon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Alejandro Del Marino (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look pumped up here. Let's hope this is a good fight!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Emmitt Dixon!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Alejandro Del Marino!
The judges for this bout are Saam Ante, Paulsen Ambrosius and Paul Aken.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
We've got one fighter who appears to only be looking to counter and the other not looking particularly aggressive either, so we could be in for a dull fight.

Del Marino closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Dixon is looking to improve his position.
Dixon is pressing down on Del Marino's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.
Del Marino slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.
Del Marino must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Dixon wants to get back to his feet but Del Marino is in a dominant position and won't allow it.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Dixon slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work.
Dixon utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.

Dixon is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
Dixon might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Del Marino is pushing down on Dixon's leg trying to pass to half guard. Dixon is fighting to maintain full guard but Del Marino has managed to sneak the leg through.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Del Marino rushes Dixon and presses him up against the cage.

Del Marino closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Dixon's guard.

A real battle for position is taking place between these two warriors.

Dixon jumps guard but Del Marino turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing.

Dixon escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

Del Marino feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Dixon is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Dixon is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Del Marino's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Del Marino's back!

Del Marino tries to roll but Dixon sticks to his back.

Dixon is staying calm and holding on to the back position, whilst working on a rear naked choke. Del Marino is defending well though. Dixon let's go of the attempt for now.

Del Marino slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.

Dixon had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Del Marino defends it easily.

Del Marino has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
Dixon wants to sweep but no luck.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.

Dixon is looking for a triangle but Del Marino pushes his legs off easily.
Del Marino wants to control from the top but Dixon keeps moving.
Del Marino engaging in some classic timewasting tactics.
Dixon trying to punch from his back but it's not doing any damage.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

Dixon has his foot on Del Marino's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Del Marino works his way back into a safe position though.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Alejandro Del Marino showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. This is the final round!

Dixon pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.

Dixon closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Del Marino to the mat! Del Marino manages to get full guard.
Del Marino pulls Dixon in close to prevent any damage.
Del Marino looking to hit a scissor sweep but Dixon is one step ahead there.
Del Marino is still trying to improve position.

Del Marino can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Dixon controls the pace.
Dixon looking to sit in guard and control but Del Marino gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.


Dixon has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Del Marino is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Dixon.

Del Marino slips into full mount, dodging the strikes by Dixon.
Dixon manages to regain half guard. Good work.
Dixon moves into full guard.
Emmitt Dixon has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Alejandro Del Marino is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Dixon wants to stand and escape but Del Marino is having none of it.

And that's the end of the fight!
I would just about give that final round to Alejandro Del Marino.
I've got Del Marino winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
