Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Dwayne Wiggins (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rory Quince (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rory Quince has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Dwayne Wiggins! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Rory Quince! The judges for this bout are Alec Ball, Gregory Folan and William Peck.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Quince gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard. Wiggins thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. Wiggins sitting in guard here, content to control. Wiggins content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots. Quince is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far. Wiggins is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position. Wiggins has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Quince keeping full guard, as Wiggins tries to pass.
That's one minute gone in the round. Wiggins wants to get up but he can't break Quince's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here. We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup. Wiggins controlling from the top position.
The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet. The crowd cheers as Quince lands an impressive looking overhand right. Wiggins doesn't seem phased though. Quince tries to work over Wiggins's front leg with a kick but Wiggins checks it. Wiggins rushes Quince and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch. Wiggins is struggling to control the position. Wiggins gets the body lock takedown. After a quick scramble, Quince regains guard.
Wiggins controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling. Quince looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Wiggins looking to control the position here, rather than advance. Wiggins stands and throws Quince's legs to the side, diving into side control. Quince can't do much from the bottom here. Quince is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. Quince tries to improve position but can't. Wiggins has worked his way into a potential kimura here. Quince is trying to get out of the position but his squirming has just got him deeper into trouble. Wiggins yanks on the arm and Quince is forced to tap due to a very painful looking submission! Nice work by Wiggins.
