Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Johnny Smith (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Spartacus Halo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Smith comes to the cage accompanied by 10 Years - All White. Johnny Smith has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Smith uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Halo.
Smith tries to counter with a takedown but Halo is quick to defend against it.
Halo misses the shot to the body.
Smith misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Smith avoids a kick to the body.
Smith shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Halo sprawls well. Halo wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Smith gets slowly back to his feet.

Halo fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Smith manages to avoid it.
Halo will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Halo enables Smith to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Halo manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Smith stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Halo swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Smith postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Halo is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Smith, into his guard.

Halo wants to control from the top but Smith keeps moving.

Halo throws a strike but Smith rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.

Smith tries to free his leg and advance position but Halo is retaining full guard.

Smith avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Smith working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.

Halo tries a low kick but Smith avoids it.
No luck for Smith with that takedown attempt.

Halo keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound.
Halo has found himself in a tricky position here. He's been working his transitions in training so let's see if he can work his way out of it.

Smith drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Halo manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Smith has Halo in his guard.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Halo wants to lay and pray for a moment but Smith keeps working.
