Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Barack Obama (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Cyrus Kendall (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Cyrus Kendall will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Barack Obama!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Cyrus Kendall!
The judges for this bout are Sergei Dronov, Vladimir Khabensky and Dmitry Maklakov.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kendall misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.

and Obama counters with a shoot takedown. Kendall fights it but they end up in guard.
Obama is looking to work some ground and pound but Kendall has wrist control.

Obama throws a strike but Kendall rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.

Obama tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Obama has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

Obama wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Kendall, who protects the arm well.

Obama in side control lands a nice looking series of punches and elbows.
Obama wants to lay and pray for a moment but Kendall keeps working.
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.
Obama cracks Kendall with a big right hand but Kendall just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.

Obama tries to score a power double leg takedown but Kendall sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Obama somewhat.
Ouch! a nice leg kick from Kendall, right into the meat.
Cyrus Kendall seems to be getting the better of the standup.

Kendall lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Obama circles away quickly and effectively.

Kendall comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.

Kendall misses with a two punch combination.
Kendall throws a lazy right hand but Obama sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.

Obama closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Obama lands in his opponent's guard.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Kendall working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Obama doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Obama manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Cyrus Kendall showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the ring so we can get back down to business.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Kendall shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Obama eats them both and turns towards Kendall to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.

Kendall has used his reach advantage pretty well so far tonight.

Obama shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Obama was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!

There's a bit of a scramble here and now Kendall is on top in guard.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round!

Obama chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Kendall can pounce on him.
Obama shoots for a double leg takedown but Kendall sprawls well. He's pushed Obama's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Kendall looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it.

Kendall lands a left and a right that send Obama crashing to the mat, dazed. Kendall thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!

Obama in side control here. He's dropped a big elbow there and Kendall looks hurt! Oh, he is hurt! Obama turns on the heat and pounds him out for a TKO victory! Good killer instinct there!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:37 of round 5, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Barack Obama!
After winning the bout, Barack Obama thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
