The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Matsuo works over Doria's head and body with a nice combination.
Doria tries to clinch but Matsuo moves out of range.
Doria scores with a push kick.
Doria throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Matsuo throws a big counter combination but Doria scrambles out of danger and avoids any damage.
Doria misses with a combination

and Matsuo counters with a nice double leg into side control. Doria won't be happy with that.
Doria is looking to reverse the position.
Doria struggling a bit here.
Doria tries to buck Matsuo off but Matsuo is having none of it.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Matsuo is looking to take a break and control but Doria is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Matsuo is moving around in side control but his primary objective seems to be to maintain the position.

Doria is trying to improve his position.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Doria lands a monster head kick that reverborates around the arena! The crowd goes wild as Matsuo crumples to the floor! Doria milks the crowd's applause and if that isn't knockout of the night, I will be very surprised!
