Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Jay Mason (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ty Angle (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ty Angle has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Jay Mason's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
5 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Jay Mason! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
6 - 3 - 0, fighting out of New York, Ty Angle! The judges for this bout are Franklyn Lucas, Columbo Gatti and Anthony Taglia.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Mason misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Mason throws a sloppy head kick and Angle moves out of range easily. Angle darts in and out, connecting with a jab. Mason tries to close the distance and clinch up but Angle swats him away and circles back towards the center. Angle feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Mason sprawling to the canvas! Mason rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Angle finish him?!
Mason is rocked! A big head kick from Mason and Angle is sent sprawling to the canvas!

It looks like Ty Angle has been cut. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Mason is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. Angle is still in real trouble! Can Mason finish him? Mason pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Angle is keeping the position for now. Angle seems to have recovered his senses. Angle wants to stand and escape but Mason is having none of it. Angle has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Mason can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Mason throws a big right hand that misses. Angle is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Mason accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Angle looking to control.
That's one minute gone in the round. Mason works a leg free and moves into half guard. Mason in half guard on the top. He's looking for a kimura... He's got it locked and he's managed to free his trapped foot. Angle tries to escape but it's on too tight and he has to tap! Great BJJ skills there from Mason!
