Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Floyd Pepper (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Timoteo Belo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Well, I have no idea who's going to take this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
8 - 9 - 2, fighting out of New York, Floyd Pepper!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
9 - 11 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Timoteo Belo!
The judges for this bout are Aleksandr Martynov, Valeri Chadov and Aleksei Zolotukhin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Belo misses with a hook. Pepper ducked under it nicely.
Nice takedown defense from Belo. No joy for Pepper on that attempt.
No joy there for Belo, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Belo has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

That was a close round but I would say that Floyd Pepper will probably get the nod.

Belo throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Pepper was covering up waiting for the punch and Belo finishes the takedown easily into guard.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Pepper pushes a forearm under Belo's chin to create some space. He's escaped his hips and pivoted quickly for an armbar! Can he extend the arm? Yes, Belo is tapping out! Damn, that was fast!
