Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Tataki Mizuto (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Cory Deegan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Mizuto kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is The Beginning- One Ok Rock. Deegan has chosen Land of Confusion as his entrance music. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The judges for this bout are Sosuke Kotani, Tatsuya Matsuyama and Yasuomi Hirokawa.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Deegan clinches up against the cage.
Deegan unloads a knee to the mid-section.
Deegan is clearly stalling here... Pick up the pace son.
Deegan lands with a right to the head.
It looks like Tataki Mizuto has been cut.

Mizuto jumps guard but Deegan stands there with Mizuto around his waist. Mizuto gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

I was talking to Mizuto's coach per-fight and he was telling me that they'd been working on the clinch in the runup to this fight.
Mizuto is trying to push Deegan away but Deegan has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Deegan tries a knee to the head but Mizuto blocks it.
Mizuto fails to pull the fight into his guard.
Mizuto is trying to break the clinch but Deegan has him pressed against the cage.

Mizuto takes a knee right on the jaw!

Deegan lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Mizuto backwards.
Deegan breaks the clinch.
Deegan moves into range and clinches up with Mizuto.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Deegan just leaning against Mizuto, taking a breather.
A nice left hand lands by Deegan.
Oh Mizuto is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!

Deegan gets an overhook and lands an elbow to the side of the head.
Deegan's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Deegan closes the distance and pushes Mizuto back into the cage.
Mizuto really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Deegan dips a shoulder and cracks Mizuto with a mighty uppercut! Mizuto falls back against the cage and Deegan unloads with a barrage of strikes! Mizuto is completely out with his eyes open, only supported by the cage! Save him ref! Eventually the ref decides to do his job and jumps in - Deegan screams abuse at the incompetent official before going over to celebrate with his corner. Brutal stuff!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:16 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Cory Deegan!
A relieved looking Cory Deegan thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
