Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Alexandre Firmino, Daniel Cesar and Felipe Paraventi.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mendez fails with the takedown.
As Mendez tries to get set, Kline tries to push him back and clinch up but Mendez manages to avoid the attempt.
Mendez clinches up with Kline and pushes him back against the cage.
Mendez stalling the fight.
Kline jumps guard.
Mendez wants to control from the top but Kline keeps moving.
Kline throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Mendez escapes and throws Kline's legs to the side, diving into side control!
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Mendez is working to tighten his grip on Kline's neck. He's isolated an arm and is working for an arm triangle. Kline has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but Mendez is really squeezing tight and eventually Kline passes out! Mendez breaks the hold and jumps onto the cage to celebrate! Submission of the night, I'd say!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:59 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Arm Triangle). Raul Mendez!
