Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Greg Coleman (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Frodo Baggins (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Greg Coleman! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Frodo Baggins! The judges for this bout are Bart Greer, Dirk Anderson and Michael Johnstone.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Crunch! Baggins slams his shin into Coleman's torso. Baggins attempts a leg kick but it's missed by a good margin. Coleman is trying to close the distance and clinch up, after that failed offence from Baggins. Baggins fails to land with a series of punches.
Frodo Baggins seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Coleman misses with the combination.
Baggins goes for a double leg but Coleman avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Coleman continues to drive forward. It looked like Coleman was trying to counter with a body shot coming off that last attack from Baggins. Baggins will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Coleman appeared to be looking to counter that last move with a leg kick. Baggins misses with a takedown attempt - Coleman sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. Greg Coleman has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Frodo Baggins. Coleman tries to clinch but Baggins moves out of range. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Coleman with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Baggins to score with a decent uppercut. Baggins throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Coleman seemed to be looking to counter by closing the distance. Baggins unleashes a big counter combination but Coleman bobs and weaves and avoids any damage. Coleman closes the distance and clinches. Baggins tries to circle away but Coleman has him pinned against the cage. Baggins stalling.
Coleman scores with a shot to the side of Baggins's head. Coleman throws a punch but it's blocked by Baggins. Baggins prevents a body shot from Coleman. Coleman misses with a punch on the inside.
Coleman swings wildly with an uppercut but Baggins uses good head movement to avoid it.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Coleman looking to throw knees to the head but Baggins is blocking nicely.
Baggins is pushing Coleman up against the cage, for a bit of lean and pray action. Action being used the in the loosest possible sense of the word. Coleman tries a knee to the head but Baggins blocks it.

Coleman keeps control of Baggins as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks. Baggins is trying to push Coleman away but Coleman has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.

Coleman has Baggins pressed against the cage, preventing Baggins from circling away and getting back to striking at range. Baggins tries to pull guard but Coleman forces him back to his feet, against the cage. Baggins wants to get back to striking at distance but Coleman won't allow it.
Coleman prevents Baggins from breaking the clinch. We've been informed that Baggins has been working hard on his conditioning in the buildup to the fight. Baggins misses with a short punch on the inside. Baggins is trying to break free.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Baggins ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Baggins no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard. Baggins pulls Coleman in close to his closed guard and prevents Coleman from doing any damage or advancing position. Baggins is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. Coleman will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Baggins is pulling down on Coleman's head. It's preventing any offense from Coleman, at least for the moment. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Coleman looking to sit in guard and control but Baggins gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

Baggins throws a mid kick that lands with a slap. We're hearing some news coming in from back stage. It's official - Baggins has eaten all the pies! Coleman tries to work over Baggins's front leg with a kick but Baggins checks it. Coleman moves out of range as Baggins throws a body kick.
Baggins has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him. Baggins throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Coleman. Baggins throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Coleman's waist but Coleman gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Baggins off to one side. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Coleman avoids the head kick by Baggins.
As Baggins tries to get set, Coleman tries to push him back and clinch up but Baggins manages to avoid the attempt. Baggins tries for a takedown but Coleman sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Baggins shoots and misses and Coleman counters with a one-two to the body. Coleman swung with a counter punch to the body but it didn't connect. Coleman closes the distance looking to clinch and Baggins counters with a two punch combo. Baggins manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back. Coleman trying to control but Baggins is working from the bottom. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Coleman won't allow Baggins to sweep him here. Coleman wants to control from the top but Baggins keeps moving. Baggins looking to sweep here. No luck so far. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Baggins is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far. Coleman won't allow Baggins to sweep him here. Baggins had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Coleman defends it easily.
The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity. Baggins misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Coleman throws a nice inside leg kick. Baggins doesn't succeed with the takedown and Coleman counters with a left and a right that stings Baggins. A solid leg kick lands there for Coleman.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Baggins walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush. Coleman throws a leg kick which misses Baggins's front leg but catches the back leg as Baggins tries to avoid it. Coleman digs a good body shot into Baggins's ribs. Baggins avoids a punch combination nicely.
Coleman closes the distance and lands a one-two. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Coleman with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.

Coleman connects with a body shot. Coleman stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Coleman wants it to stay on the feet. Coleman shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Baggins eats them both and turns towards Coleman to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo. Baggins fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Coleman avoids it really well and circles away. Greg Coleman is winning the standup battle so far. Coleman is looking to clinch but Baggins is avoiding it.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Coleman slaps away a takedown attempt from Baggins, before circling back to the center of the mat. Baggins closes this distance looking for a takedown but Coleman circles away. A counter left hand to the body from Coleman misses its target. Coleman throws a right and a left that both miss. Baggins dives in for a single leg takedown but Coleman sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage. Coleman appears to be looking for a big counter. Coleman throws a right and a left that both miss. Coleman works over Baggins's head and body with a nice combination. Baggins on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those. Coleman connects with an inside leg kick. Jab, cross, leg kick. Nice combination by Coleman!

That's four minutes gone in the round. Baggins takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Baggins stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Coleman. Baggins takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness. Crunch! Baggins slams his shin into Coleman's torso. Baggins on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere. Baggins darts in looking for a takedown but Coleman gets double underhooks and turns Baggins into the cage. Coleman is trying to close the distance and clinch up, after that failed offence from Baggins. Baggins drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles. Baggins takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh. Coleman scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Baggins doesn't seem bothered though. Coleman scores with a three punch combo!
