Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between DeAndre Perry (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and John Jones (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Perry comes to the cage accompanied by born 2 run. Jones comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Fort Minor - Remember The Name kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, DeAndre Perry! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, John Jones! The judges for this bout are , Don Winkell and Timothy Bukovac.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Perry closes the distance and clinches. Perry manages to break the clinch.
Perry keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Jones. Perry gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there. Jones gets tackled into the cage by Perry. Perry maintains the clinch. Perry's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Jones is looking to slow Perry down with leg kicks. Jones throws an off balance right hand
and Perry counters by moving into the clinch. Jones with a knee to the head.
Perry wants the takedown. Jones is fighting it off but Perry persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Jones's guard against the cage. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Jones looking to hit a scissor sweep but Perry is one step ahead there. Perry has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. Jones wants to stand and escape but Perry is having none of it. Jones controls Perry momentarily but Perry frees himself.
That's one minute gone in the round. Jones keeping moving, preventing Perry from controlling successfully. Jones wants to sweep here but Perry controlling him for the moment. Jones striking off his back but it's not causing Perry any problems. The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up. Perry would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.
The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet. Jones scores with a one two! Perry had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes. A shot to the body from Jones misses and Perry counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work. Jones looks to throw the jab but Perry is out of range. The fighters circling - Jones throws out the jab but it was never going to land. Perry feinted with a counter takedown.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Jones misses with a body kick. Jones lands an overhand right. Jones throws a decent looking leg kick but it doesn't land clean. Perry looks to land a combination but Jones avoids it well. Jones throws a feint and then finishes with a kick to the body. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Jones throws out a loose jab but Perry uses good head movement to avoid it. Perry drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard. Jones trying to punch from his back but it's not doing any damage. Jones looking for a guillotine here but Perry defends easily.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Jones bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Perry's guard.
Perry on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Perry tries to get out of the position. Perry utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Jones working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. Perry is trying to keep Jones in close.
Perry working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Jones. Jones trying to control but Perry is working from the bottom. Perry bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Jones's guard.
Jones working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Perry doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Perry manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Perry knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Jones on the ground.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Perry would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Jones throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.
Jones has thrown up a leg looking for a triangle. Perry doesn't defend quickly enough and Jones has managed to lock this one up! Can Perry escape?! NO! He's tapping out! Damn, that was a quick submission - congrats to Jones on a fantastic submission victory.
