Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Big Dipper (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Juan Manuel Ulrich (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The key to victory for Big Dipper has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Big Dipper!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Juan Manuel Ulrich!
The judges for this bout are Stewart Dunkirk, Tiny Johnson and Chris Downing.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dipper fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Dipper lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected.
Dipper lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.


It looks like Juan Manuel Ulrich has been cut.
Ulrich circles away from the clinch attempt.

Dipper closes the distance and pushes Ulrich back into the cage.
Ulrich is trying to pull guard but Dipper has him pressed against the cage.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Ulrich works for the underhooks and manages to get a trip takedown into guard.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Dipper is on top in guard.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Ulrich can do anything to dispel that myth.

Dipper throws a low kick, looking for Ulrich's leg but Ulrich calmly moves out of range.

Dipper is trying hard to land a takedown here. Ulrich sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Dipper tries to close the distance and clinch up but Ulrich swats him away and circles back towards the center.

That was a close second round but I would say that Big Dipper will probably get the nod.

My spies in The Iron Palace inform me that Ulrich has been getting involved in the gym's BJJ sparring sessions. Let's see whether that pays dividends!

Ulrich drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Dipper manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Ulrich has Dipper in his guard.
