The judges for this bout are Alec Ball, Elvis Blanc and Steve Smith.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Smith takes a shot right to the bread basket.
Smith takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.
Roberts fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Smith is trying to avoid his opponent's strikes and get into the clinch.
Smith looking to score a takedown here. Roberts is defending well but Smith drives through and ends up in Roberts's guard.
Smith working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Roberts's head.
Roberts is striking off his back. Smith thinks nothing of it though and passes easily into half guard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Smith has hold of the far side arm. He's working for the Kimura, can Roberts defend it? Smith steps over the head and cranks it - Roberts is tapping out! That was textbook stuff right there - nice submission victory for Smith!
