Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Julio Quintana (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Numero Cero (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Cero comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Hate Me Now - Nas kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 19 - 6 - 2, fighting out of New York, Julio Quintana!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 29 - 14 - 1, fighting out of St Petersburg, Numero Cero!
The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, Timothy Bukovac and Frank Antenori.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cero connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt.
Cero connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son.
Cero works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance.
Cero looks to land a left hand but Quintana moved out of range nicely.
Cero throws a leg kick but he was too far away and it doesn't land.
Quintana changes levels looking for a counter takedown but doesn't commit.
Quintana moves into range and lands a nice body kick.
Cero scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard.

Quintana throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Cero was covering up waiting for the punch and Quintana finishes the takedown easily into guard.
Quintana wants to control from the top but Cero keeps moving.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Quintana is looking to work some ground and pound but Cero has wrist control.
Cero has been taking part in the yoga sessions down at gym closing. Presumably he's going to look for a slick submission... Or maybe he's looking to avoid one.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Cero wants to control but Quintana is having none of it.
Cero is looking to improve his position but Quintana isn't that keen on the idea.
Quintana tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
Cero is trying to escape but when you're mounted that's not too easy.

Cero tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Quintana manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.

Quintana is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.

Numero Cero seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Quintana digs a right hand into Cero's ribs. Those have got to be taking their toll on Cero's gas tank.

Numero Cero comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
