Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
8 - 10 - 0, fighting out of New York, Nino Brown! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
18 - 14 - 1, fighting out of New York, Randall Cunningham! The judges for this bout are Steve Montenegro, Eddie Farnsworth and Joseph Jones.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Brown takes a body punch but keeps moving. Cunningham lands a jab-cross combination. Brown has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance. Brown throws a leg kick and Cunningham counters with a straight right hand. Brown avoids a lazy jab quite easily. Cunningham swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Brown. Cunningham scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard.
Brown is rocked! Brown circles to his right, straight into a beautiful hook by Cunningham. Brown falls face first into the canvas - great knockout victory for Cunningham!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:34 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Randall Cunningham! Randall Cunningham decided to hype himself up post fight. It was going well but he went on about it a bit too long and the crowd turned on him a little.
