Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Raiymbek Batyr (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Andrew Olson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Raiymbek Batyr!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Andrew Olson!
The judges for this bout are Jorge Garcia, Jonathan Paton and Russell Pearce.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Batyr tries to close the distance and clinch up but Olson swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Batyr closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.
Batyr lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Batyr.


It looks like Andrew Olson has been cut.
Batyr throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Batyr throws a series of punches but Olson avoids them all with ease.
A countering left hand to the body from Olson misses.
Batyr misses with a combination
and Olson counters with a straight right hand.
Olson drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles.
Batyr misses with a head kick.
Batyr seems to be moving with more speed, compared to his last bout. He must have been working on that in the gym.
Batyr rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Olson moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Batyr is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Batyr tries to clinch but Olson is having none of it.
Sloppy strikes from Batyr. Those never looked like landing.
Olson takes a push kick to the midsection and stumbles backwards.
Batyr connects with the punch.
Raiymbek Batyr seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Batyr throws a body punch but Olson moves out of range.
Olson avoids a punch combination nicely.

Batyr misses with a two punch combination.
As Batyr backs off Olson throws a huge counter combo but Batyr manages to avoid it all.
No joy there for Batyr, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Olson shoots in but Batyr avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Batyr throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Left hook, right uppercut from Olson.
Batyr will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Batyr moves into the clinch.
Batyr with a knee to the head.
Batyr misses with a punch on the inside.
Batyr pushes Olson back against the cage and unloads with a body punch.
Batyr misses with a knee to the head.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Batyr misses with a punch on the inside.

Batyr throws a knee to the head but misses.
Batyr lands with a good tight uppercut to the head.
Olson tries to break the clinch but Batyr is controlling the position.
Batyr with the Thai clinch. He's looking to land a big knee but he's not managed it this time.
Batyr throws an elbow but it's blocked.
Batyr misses with a shot to the kidneys.
A head punch on the inside from Batyr fails to land.
Olson blocking some punches.

Batyr lands on the inside with an uppercut.
Olson wants to break free but Batyr has control.

Olson breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

Olson closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Batyr to the mat! Batyr manages to get full guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Olson won't allow Batyr to get back to his feet.
Olson controlling from the top position.

That's three minutes gone in the round.

Olson seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
Batyr utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
Olson wants to control from the top but Batyr keeps moving.
Batyr wants to get back to his feet but Olson is in a dominant position and won't allow it.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Batyr throws a push kick but Olson slaps the foot to one side.

Batyr gets in close and instigates a clinch.
Batyr misses with some punches.
A short right from Batyr on the inside.
Batyr missing with knees to the body.
Batyr misses with a punch to the body.
Batyr lands a right hand.
Batyr softening up his opponent with strikes, against the cage.

Olson's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Olson fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Batyr on the side of the head.


It looks like Raiymbek Batyr has been cut.
Batyr doesn't manage to clinch there - Olson circles away.
Batyr throws a front kick that sends Olson stumbling back into the cage.

The fight moves into the clinch position.
Batyr looking to throw knees to the head but Olson is blocking nicely.
The fighters are starting to get sweaty, which will make takedowns a bit more tricky.
Olson blocks a body shot from Batyr.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Raiymbek Batyr dominated that round.
Both fighters have cut men working on them during the interval.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!


Batyr throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Olson lands a hook that stumbles Batyr back into the cage. Olson follows up with a straight and another hook that land right on the button, dropping Batyr to the canvas! Olson pounces and lands several unanswered shots - Batyr has had enough and taps out! This one is all over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:09 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Strikes). Andrew Olson!
