Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Scott Baillie (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kevin Chilson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chilson has chosen Voices by rev theory as his entrance music. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Scott Baillie!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Kevin Chilson!
The judges for this bout are Gwen Towbar, Cecil Peabody and Chris Downing.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Chilson misses with a leg kick
and Baillie counters with a good, hard body kick but Chilson shrugs it off.

Chilson clinches with his opponent.
Chilson looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.

Chilson gets a nice trip takedown into half guard.
Chilson missing with some ground and pound from the half guard.
Chilson thows a huge punch but Baillie dodges it nicely.
Baillie is looking to escape.
Baillie blocking the ground and pound attempt from Chilson.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Chilson tries to pass to full mount but Baillie defends it.
Baillie might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Chilson not throwing his punches with enough precision this time.

Chilson thows a huge punch but Baillie dodges it nicely.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.
Chilson shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Baillie eats them both and turns towards Chilson to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.

and Baillie counters with a nice body kick.
Chilson misses with a right hand
and Baillie counters with a body kick that brings a smile to the face of both fighters.
Chilson throws a leg kick
and Baillie counters with a body kick.

Chilson rushes Baillie and presses him up against the cage.
Baillie wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.

Baillie escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

Chilson has Baillie up against the cage in a clinch.

Chilson has clasped his hands together around Baillie's back... aaand, he's got a takedown into side control. Nicely done.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Baillie is trying to escape and get back to his feet.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Baillie regains half guard, as Chilson was trying to land strikes.
Baillie looks like he's trying to stand up.

Baillie keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound.
Chilson wants to control but Baillie is keeping him busy.
Chilson throwing shots but Baillie is blocking nicely.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.

Chilson closes the distance and pushes Baillie back into the cage.
Baillie tries to break free but Chilson pushes him back against the cage.

Chilson is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Baillie can't fight it off and eventually Chilson manages to take the fight to the floor. Baillie looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Chilson stands up over Baillie, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.

Chilson postures up in Baillie's guard and throws a big left but Baillie blocks it.
Chilson throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.
Chilson looking to sit in guard and control but Baillie gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

Baillie would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Kevin Chilson dominated that round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.



Baillie gets caught napping as Chilson dives in and scores a takedown. Baillie manages to retain guard.
Baillie utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
Chilson throws a big elbow that misses.
Chilson is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Chilson prevents Baillie from getting back to his feet.
Chilson trying to control the position from guard on top but Baillie is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Chilson accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Chilson gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.
Kevin Chilson is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

Chilson closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Chilson throws a big elbow that misses, also allowing Baillie to regain full guard.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.

Baillie wants to stand but Chilson is controlling the position.

Chilson decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.

Chilson looks to land a combination. Baillie sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots.

Chilson has developed a nice purple lump on his ribcage, as a result of some heavy body kicks from Baillie.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Baillie escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Chilson throws a left and a right that both miss
and Baillie counters with a body kick.
Chilson throws a right hand that misses
and Baillie counters with a body kick that brings a smile to the face of both fighters.
Chilson is breathing heavily.

Chilson dives in and scores a takedown into Baillie's guard.

Baillie is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
Chilson has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Chilson trying to control the position from guard on top but Baillie is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
The step up in weight doesn't seem to be a problem for Chilson. He's performing admirably here against the bigger man.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

Baillie pushes Chilson off and scrambles back to his feet.
Chilson swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Baillie makes the exchange count by landing a cracking kick to the body. Chilson really felt that one!

Both guys are working to get underhooks.

A close second round but Kevin Chilson will probably get the nod - 10:9.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Chilson is trying to ground and pound but Baillie uses the momentary lack of control by Chilson to regain half guard.
Chilson stalling away here and it's allowed Baillie to slip out his trapped foot and regain full guard.

Chilson is looking to work some ground and pound but Baillie has wrist control.
Baillie wants to get back to his feet but Chilson is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.
Chilson throws a lazy head kick
and Baillie counters with a good, hard body kick but Chilson shrugs it off.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Baillie enables Chilson to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Baillie manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
Chilson won't allow Baillie to get back to his feet.
Chilson with a flurry of punches that miss.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

Kevin Chilson is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.
Baillie is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Chilson is controlling him.

I would just about give that final round to Kevin Chilson.
