The judges for this bout are Michael Johnstone, Daniel Franklin and David Hoff.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Stones feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
Stones postures up.
Thomas really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Stones. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Thomas is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully.
Stones engaging in some classic timewasting tactics.
Stones slips nicely into half guard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Stones connects with a nice short shot to Thomas's temple.
Stones decides to stand up and try his luck on the feet.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Stones changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Thomas looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Stones controls the position.
Stones tries for a kimura but Thomas is defending well.
Stones is working for what looks like an arm triangle here. Thomas is trying to escape and Stones transitions quickly into an armbar! He's slapped it on tight and Thomas is forced to tap! Nice work there by Stones! Very nice indeed!
