Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Paul Riley (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dan Sanchez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sanchez is looking to clinch.
Sanchez darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.

Riley fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Sanchez sprawls well initially but Riley persists and gets the takedown into half guard.

Riley has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Sanchez's face.

Riley's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not.
Riley is trying to trip Sanchez. He has hold of a leg but Sanchez is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Riley persists though and gets the takedown into guard.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Riley seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Sanchez does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
