Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Latka Gravas (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jackson Savage (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Savage has chosen Bon Jovi - It's my life as his entrance music. There are an array of beautiful celebrities at ringside tonight! I wonder if any of them paid for their tickets.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 35 - 23 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Latka Gravas!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 34 - 33 - 1, fighting out of Amsterdam, Jackson Savage!
The judges for this bout are Paul Aken, Patrick Alders and Paulsen Ambrosius.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A nice leg kick lands there from Gravas.
That kick from Gravas tenderised Savage's leg. Savage is trying to keep his angry face on.
Savage tries to close the distance and clinch but Gravas swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Savage shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Gravas as he avoids it easily.
Savage misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Savage tries to clinch but Gravas moves out of range.
Gravas throws a quick inside leg kick.
Nice sprawl there from Gravas as Savage shoots in.
Latka Gravas has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jackson Savage.
Savage throws a head kick that misses
and Gravas counters with a good, hard body kick but Savage shrugs it off.
Savage is trying hard to land a takedown here. Gravas sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.

Savage doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.
Jackson Savage seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Gravas scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
Gravas stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.


Gravas moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.
Savage throws a sloppy head kick and Gravas moves out of range easily.

Gravas fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Savage has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. Let's get this one finished - here comes the final round!


Gravas lands a nice looking kick to the body. Savage takes a step back to recover.
Savage checks a low kick. Bone on bone - not my idea of a good time.
Savage throws a big counter head kick but Gravas avoids it with no problem.
Gravas connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.
Savage chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Gravas can pounce on him.

Savage takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
Gravas does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.

Savage on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.
Gravas buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.

and Savage counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Savage.

Savage drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Savage jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Gravas is scooting his butt against the cage and has managed to get back to his feet. Savage presses him back against the cage, presumably looking to take the fight back to the mat.
Gravas is pressed up against the cage. Savage has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Gravas down to the mat. Gravas avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Savage gets hit by the mother of all head kicks and drops to the canvas in a crumpled heap! Woooow, the Internet is going to be talking about this one for weeks!
