Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Alpo Suhonen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Chris Palmer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Suhonen's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, Gers Pardoel - Ik Neem Je Mee . Chris Palmer acknowledges the crowd's support as he enters the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
The crowd cheers as Palmer lands an impressive looking overhand right. Suhonen doesn't seem phased though.
Suhonen has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.
Suhonen fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.
Palmer stuffs the takedown attempt from Suhonen. Suhonen gets slowly back to his feet.
Palmer follows through with a counter body kick but it doesn't land.
Alpo Suhonen seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.
Suhonen thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
Palmer is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Suhonen has just dragged him back down to the mat.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Palmer stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Palmer wants it to stay on the feet.
Suhonen rushes Palmer and presses him up against the cage.

Suhonen is working for takedown but Palmer is calmly controlling the position for now.
Suhonen has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Palmer avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.

Suhonen changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Palmer tries to avoid it but Suhonen manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Palmer to the ground. Palmer escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Suhonen shoots in for a takedown but Palmer shows good takedown defense.

Palmer throws out a loose jab but Suhonen uses good head movement to avoid it.

That was a close round but I would say that Alpo Suhonen will probably get the nod.

Suhonen is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Palmer can do to turn this around?
Suhonen takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
Suhonen is looking to secure an arm. He's managed it! He's pivoting for an armbar - that looks tight! But Palmer has managed to get out of it and now he's in a dominant position. Nice work from Palmer!

Suhonen has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Palmer is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Suhonen.

Palmer is looking to take a break and control but Suhonen is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
