Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Lorenzo Ortiz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Junior Brandon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ortiz comes to the cage accompanied by Cisco Kid. Brandon has chosen Life Is Beautiful as his entrance music. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
4 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Lorenzo Ortiz! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
8 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Junior Brandon! The judges for this bout are Don Winkell, and Jack Bonds.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Ortiz throws a shot to the body.
Brandon looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple. Ortiz looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight. Brandon has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Brandon there as he acknowledges the shot. Ortiz pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Ortiz stuns Brandon with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range. Ortiz thuds a mid kick into his opponent's body. That will wear on Brandon if he has to take too many more of those.
Brandon slips a jab and a cross from Ortiz.
Brandon walks forward, straight into a front kick from Ortiz. Brandon takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor. Brandon misses with a low kick. Ortiz throws a body kick that digs right into the meat. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Ortiz thuds his shin into the meat of Brandon's side. Ortiz throws a body kick but he wasn't in range. Brandon takes one to the chin there. A cross from Ortiz lands. Brandon tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Ortiz defends well and Brandon ends up having to push Ortiz into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch. Ortiz misses with a head kick.
Ortiz connects with a good right hand that stumbles Brandon. Brandon circles away out of range and recomposes himself. Brandon takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it. Brandon avoids the head kick by Ortiz.

Ortiz tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Brandon tries to counter with a clinch but Ortiz shakes him off and moves away. Ortiz throws a head kick but Brandon moves out of range.
Brandon throws out a counter right but Ortiz avoids it with no problem. Brandon blocks a head kick by Ortiz.
Ortiz fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it! Brandon takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily. Brandon takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it. Ortiz lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent. Brandon throws a leg kick that misses. Ortiz throws a head kick that misses. Ortiz tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Brandon paws at him with a jab and circles away. Brandon has done a lot of speed work in the buildup to this fight. Ortiz looks to land a body kick but Brandon moved away. Ortiz misses with a head kick.
Lorenzo Ortiz is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Ortiz gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Brandon to score an easy takedown into full guard. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Brandon trying to control but Ortiz is working from the bottom.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Brandon stands and steps away. Ortiz gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game. Brandon closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Ortiz's guard. Brandon thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. Brandon trying to control the position from guard on top but Ortiz is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Brandon forces his way into half guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Brandon throwing shots but Ortiz is blocking nicely. Ortiz trying to hold on to Brandon's head to control him but Brandon postures up.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Brandon is still trying to improve position. Ortiz tries to roll over but Brandon keeps him under control. Ortiz moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard. Brandon passes into half guard. Ortiz wants to control but Brandon is keeping busy.
Brandon is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Ortiz doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Brandon.

Ortiz is looking for a sweep. Brandon is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Ortiz has hold of Brandon's hands but Brandon slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow. Brandon decides to stand up and try his luck on the feet. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Lorenzo Ortiz dominated that round. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!
Ortiz ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Brandon moves away. Ortiz lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Brandon circles away quickly and effectively. Brandon shoots in for a takedown but Ortiz shows good takedown defense. Brandon throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Ortiz was covering up waiting for the punch and Brandon finishes the takedown easily into guard. Brandon stands and throws Ortiz's legs to the side, diving into side control. Ortiz struggling a bit here. Ortiz parries the strikes from Brandon easily there. Brandon is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Ortiz to escape.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Brandon thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead. Brandon swings around for an armbar but Ortiz sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Brandon's guard. Ortiz will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
That's one minute gone in the round. Brandon has control of Ortiz's left arm, preventing Ortiz from doing any damage. Brandon avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Ortiz is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Brandon can do to turn this around? Ortiz looking to sit in guard and control but Brandon gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. Brandon pushing down on Ortiz's thigh, trying to pass to half guard. He's managed it... Nice work. Brandon wants to pass the guard but Ortiz is defending well. Brandon is working for a submission of some sort.
Brandon has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount.

Ortiz controlling his opponent's hands, preventing the submission attempt. Brandon is trying to stick to Ortiz's back but Ortiz is turning into Brandon. He's managed to reverse the position - now he's in Brandon's guard. Polite applause from the crowd in appreciation of some nice Jiu Jitsu by Ortiz. Brandon is adopting a defensive guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Ortiz wants to control from the top but Brandon keeps moving. Brandon is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage. Junior Brandon has got the better of the ground game so far. Brandon keeping moving, preventing Ortiz from controlling successfully. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Ortiz throws a big elbow that misses. Ortiz is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Junior Brandon showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! This is the final round!
Ortiz lets loose with a powerful body kick. Brandon will feel that in the morning. Ortiz is using his reach advantage well here, landing the more effective single shots from range. Brandon takes a swing at Ortiz's ribcage but misses. Lorenzo Ortiz is winning the standup battle so far. Brandon darts in looking for a takedown but Ortiz gets double underhooks and turns Brandon into the cage. Brandon keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Ortiz pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way. Brandon fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Nice sprawl there from Ortiz as Brandon shoots in. Lorenzo Ortiz has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Junior Brandon. Ortiz stuffs the takedown. Ortiz feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Brandons jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist! Ortiz misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.

Brandon takes a body punch but keeps moving. A slapping body kick lands there for Ortiz. Brandon walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head. Brandon on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot. Ortiz lands a front kick. Ortiz throws a right high kick that is partially blocked by Brandon. Ortiz scores with a shot to the body.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Brandon takes a kick to the side of the head. Ortiz lands a slapping body shot.
Ortiz punishes Brandon's body with a nice straight punch. Ortiz throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Brandon on the side of the head. Ortiz fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Brandon looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath. Brandon looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Ortiz is fending him off so far but Brandon persists. Nope, Ortiz circles away and we're back to standing.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Brandon keeps the fight on the outside. Ortiz is looking to wear down Brandon with body shots, infact he's throwing more body shots than head shots at the moment. Ortiz pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way. Junior Brandon is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Sloppy strikes from Ortiz. Those never looked like landing. Brandon takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness. Ortiz tries to clinch there but Brandon circles away.

Ortiz throws a head kick that misses. Brandon throws out a counter right but Ortiz avoids it with no problem. Brandon takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
Brandon shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Ortiz manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage. Brandon wants to control from the top but Ortiz keeps moving.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Brandon stands and steps away. Ortiz gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game. Ortiz swats away the attempt to clinch by Brandon. Ortiz ducks right into an uppercut from Brandon. Ortiz connects with a body shot. Crunch! Ortiz slams his shin into Brandon's torso. Brandon decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard. Brandon looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Ortiz is not content to let Brandon control the position. Brandon looks to score some points with some ground and pound. Brandon has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount. Brandon unloads with some shots from mount but Ortiz bucks and avoids them well.
And that's the end of the fight! Lorenzo Ortiz showed his dominance in that final round. I think Ortiz has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

In favor of your winner, by unanimous decision... Lorenzo Ortiz! After the fight, Lorenzo Ortiz was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
