Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jordon Burroghs! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 8 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Danny Green! The judges for this bout are Robert Twigg, George Francis and Daniel Franklin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Green cracks Burroghs with a good jab. Burroghs looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple. Burroghs walks into a left hand. A shot to the liver by Green. Beautiful body shot. Green moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot. Burroghs shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Burroghs is pressing down on Green's thigh, looking to free his foot. Green is holding on for now. Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Burroghs in particular looking to stall. Green wants to improve his position but Burroghs is controlling well.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. This has been an exciting period of action! Burroghs seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense. Burroghs is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
That's one minute gone in the round. Burroghs content to sit in half guard and control for a moment. Burroghs seems to be looking for submissions.

Green has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Burroghs is working away from the top position though. The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Burroghs lands a nice short elbow. Green is looking to control Burroghs's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Green avoid being mounted? Green is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Green throws a strike from the bottom that misses.
Green works his way to full guard. Good work. Burroghs has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. Green doesn't do any damage with a couple of strikes from the bottom.
Burroghs won't allow Green to sweep him here. Green is still trying to improve position.
The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity. Burroghs darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard. Burroghs working the head and body with strikes. Burroghs is nestled in close to Green, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure. Burroghs wants to free his trapped foot but Green is holding on for dear life with his legs. Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Burroghs in particular looking to stall.

That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Green throws a strike from the bottom that misses.
Green flails away from the bottom but he's not doing any damage.
The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet. Green scores with a hook to the body. Burroghs takes a step back and tries to catch his breath. Green stuns Burroghs with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range. Burroghs walks into a left hand. Green jabs Burroghs right on the nose. Burroghs blinks but takes it well. Green scores with a hook to the body. Burroghs takes a step back and tries to catch his breath. Burroghs is breathing heavily. Burroghs tries to move into range but Green moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand. Burroghs on the wrong end of a nice jab.
Burroghs is rocked! Jab from Green. Oh Burroghs is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! Burroghs switches off momentarily and Green cracks him with a monster right hand! Burroghs topples backwards and makes a semi conscious attempt to cover up, as Green dives in to land one more shot, before the referee has time to call the fight. What a finish by Green!
