Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jake Wolfcastle (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Shawn Jones (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Shawn Jones!
The judges for this bout are Stewart Dunkirk, Cecil Peabody and Daniel Franklin.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jones misses with a series of wild punches.
Jones lands a jab to the nose.
Wolfcastle throws a right high kick that is partially blocked by Jones.
Wolfcastle showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Jones.
Jones missing with a left hand there. Wolfcastle was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.

Wolfcastle looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Wolfcastle uses his free foot to push down on Jones's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Jones.
Jones is looking to get back to his feet - it's going to be hard from this position.

Wolfcastle has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

Jones wants to try and get back to his feet.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Wolfcastle cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!
Jones is looking to get back to his feet - it's going to be hard from this position.
Jones looks gassed!
Wolfcastle postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Jones looks a forlorn figure.
Wolfcastle lands with some vicious ground and pound - can Jones hang on?
Jones really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Wolfcastle. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Wolfcastle pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage.
Wolfcastle trying to control but Jones is having none of it.

Jones is looking to get back to his feet - it's going to be hard from this position.
Jones is using up a lot of energy trying to get back to his feet. Perhaps he should improve his position first.

Jones squirming around on the bottom, looking to escape.
Wolfcastle takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.

Wolfcastle closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.

Shawn Jones seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Jones, as that shot connected.

Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Jones throws out a loose jab but Wolfcastle uses good head movement to avoid it.
Jones throws a series of punches but Wolfcastle moves out of range.
Jones catches Wolfcastle with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!

Wolfcastle uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Jones.
Jones scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
Jones fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Wolfcastle on the side of the head.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
The fighters circling - Jones throws out the jab but it was never going to land.

Wolfcastle takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
