Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Gregory Folan, Alec Ball and Yves DeLean.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Santos works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance.
Santos misses with a series of wild punches.
Santos misses with a few strikes there.
Santos swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Santos lands a jab to Vinkela's midsection.
Santos throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
A punch lands to the side of Vinkela 's head but he takes it in his stride.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Vinkela shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Santos sprawls well. Santos wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Vinkela gets slowly back to his feet.
Despite the aggression on Santos's face he doesn't fully commit to the counter.
Santos rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Vinkela moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Vinkela attempts a counter takedown but Santos avoids it well and moves away.

A combination from Santos does no damage.
Santos scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent.
Santos throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
so Vinkela counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.

Vinkela drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Vinkela jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.

Vinkela has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Vinkela throws an elbow but Santos slips to the side and avoids it well.
Vinkela is trying to get an arm triangle but Santos is defending well.

Vinkela has worked his way into a potential kimura here. Santos is trying to get out of the position but his squirming has just got him deeper into trouble. Vinkela yanks on the arm and Santos is forced to tap due to a very painful looking submission! Nice work by Vinkela.
