Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Angus Archer!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Phantom Troupe!
The judges for this bout are Sam Margolis, Richard Clark and Andrew Berry.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Troupe scores with a jab to the head.
Troupe misses with an uppercut
and Troupe takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.

Troupe throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Archer tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Troupe is in Archer's guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Troupe throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Troupe trying to control the position from guard on top but Archer is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Troupe loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.

Troupe is pushing down on Archer's leg trying to pass to half guard. Archer is fighting to maintain full guard but Troupe has managed to sneak the leg through.
Troupe seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.
Archer is in trouble now - Troupe has advanced to mount!
Troupe trying to control but Archer is having none of it.
Archer knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Troupe on the ground.
Troupe has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

Archer is displaying good submission defense - not really looking in danger of submitting to the rear naked choke at the moment. That could change in an instant of course if Troupe gets his way!

Troupe is working for a rear naked choke. Archer is not defending it well and Troupe has tightened it up quickly! This could be all over! Archer refuses to tap and goes to sleep, forcing the referee to intervene. A little trickle of blood came out of Archer's nose as his head slumped to the floor. That is naaaasty!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:24 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Phantom Troupe!
