Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Derfel Cadarn (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tero Karhula (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Karhula has chosen Will Smith - Men In Black as his entrance music. Tero Karhula has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cadarn delivers a nice body kick.
Cadarn throws a head kick that Karhula semi-blocks.

It looks like Tero Karhula has been cut.
Cadarn throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Karhula throws a hook but Cadarn avoids it easily.
Cadarn swung with a counter punch to the body but it didn't connect.
Cadarn avoids the body shot from Karhula.
Cadarn takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
Karhula misses the shot to the body.

Cadarn steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Karhula.
Cadarn stuffs the takedown attempt from Karhula. Karhula gets slowly back to his feet.

Karhula looks to land a right hand but Cadarn moved out of range.
Karhula throws a jab but it's blocked by Cadarn.

Derfel Cadarn is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

Cadarn lands a head kick!
We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Karhula has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.
Karhula rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Cadarn counters with a nice kick to the body.
Karhula loads up on a big right hand but Cadarn slips the punch.
Cadarn throws a front kick that sends Karhula stumbling back into the cage.

and Karhula counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Karhula.
Karhula slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Karhula misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.
An elbow from Karhula crashes against the mat.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Karhula in side control lands a nice looking series of punches and elbows.
Cadarn on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Cadarn tries to get out of the position.
Karhula misses with an attempted head punch from side control.
Cadarn is trying to improve his position.

Karhula has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Karhula is working Cadarn over with some ground and pound from side control.
Karhula lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Cadarn down.

Cadarn knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Karhula on the ground.
Cadarn is trying to control Karhula's posture but Karhula avoids it.

Cadarn takes a couple of big shots there - the referee warns him that he has to defend himself better.

Karhula in side control here. He's dropped a big elbow there and Cadarn looks hurt! Oh, he is hurt! Karhula turns on the heat and pounds him out for a TKO victory! Good killer instinct there!
