Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Danny Mangold (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Anatoliy Lapikov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Mangold comes into the arena with Dead Prez blaring out of the sound system. Lapikov has chosen AC/DC - Hells Bells as his entrance music. Man, I cannot wait for this one!

With a record of 13 - 12 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Anatoliy Lapikov!
The judges for this bout are Colin Fray, Jeff Smith and Micheangelo Fripello.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mangold stuffs the takedown.
Lapikov buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Lapikov misses with a looping left.
Mangold shoots in for a double leg but Lapikov sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
A nice side step and Lapikov releases a counter shot to the body, but it doesn't find it's home.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Lapikov stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Lapikov wants it to stay on the feet.

It looked like Mangold wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit.
A slapping leg kick lands for Lapikov.

Mangold shoots in looking for a takedown but Lapikov manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Mangold's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.

Lapikov escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Mangold gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Lapikov enables Mangold to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Lapikov manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Mangold arches his back and unloads with a massive left and a right! Lapikov's eyes roll back into his head, he's out cold! The ref dives in to stop the fight - wow, they were hard shots!
