Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Bruno Krause (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Terry Mcdermott (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Mcdermott has chosen Broken Wings as his entrance music. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
13 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Bruno Krause! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
21 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Terry Mcdermott! The judges for this bout are Josh West, Colin Fray and Micheangelo Fripello.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Mcdermott shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Krause as he avoids it easily. Krause throws a low kick, looking for Mcdermott's leg but Mcdermott calmly moves out of range. Mcdermott shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Krause's guard. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Mcdermott accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Mcdermott passes easily into side control. Nice work. Mcdermott is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Krause knows the correct defense though, so he's OK. Krause wants to control but Mcdermott postures up. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Krause tries to get back to half guard but can't. Krause is in a tricky position but he's been working on his transitions down at Hilo Training Center, so we'll see if he gets out of it.
That's one minute gone in the round. An elbow from Mcdermott crashes against the mat.
Mcdermott is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Krause is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now. Mcdermott is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Krause has escaped the position, nice work there. Mcdermott swings around for an armbar but Krause sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Mcdermott's guard. Krause passes into half guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Krause is looking to take a break and control but Mcdermott is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Mcdermott wants to control but Krause is keeping busy.
Krause wants to take a breather but Mcdermott is having none of it. Mcdermott wants to improve his position but Krause is controlling well.
Mcdermott moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard. Mcdermott throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Mcdermott manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Krause manages to get himself to full guard.
Mcdermott throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. Mcdermott drops back, looking for a kneebar! Krause looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Krause looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Krause! Mcdermott is looking to regain half guard here but Krause keeps moving and retains side control. Krause is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Mcdermott is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while. Krause wants to control but Mcdermott is keeping him busy. Mcdermott regains half guard. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Mcdermott makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Mcdermott. Mcdermott throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.

Terry Mcdermott dominated that round. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Krause throws a body punch but Mcdermott moves out of range. Krause misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Mcdermott.
Krause drops his hands momentarily and Mcdermott takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head. Mcdermott closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Krause quickly recovers to half guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Krause is defending against the submission attempts here by Mcdermott.
Krause is doing well to control the position and prevent Mcdermott from advancing to side control. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Mcdermott works his way into full mount! Mcdermott avoids the attempt from Krause to control.
That's one minute gone in the round. Mcdermott swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and Krause is now in Mcdermott's guard. A big mistake from Mcdermott there, giving up the dominant position! Mcdermott is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Krause trying to control but Mcdermott is working from the bottom. Mcdermott looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Mcdermott looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! Krause has picked Mcdermott up and slammed him! Mcdermott can't keep hold of the triangle and Krause manages to pass to side control! Mcdermott throwing some weak shots from the bottom that do no damage.
Mcdermott tries to slip a leg under to move to half guard but Krause presses down on the leg and jumps into full mount! Krause looking for an armbar but decides to keep the dominant position instead. Krause trying to control but Mcdermott is having none of it. Krause manages to capitalize on a mistake by Mcdermott to take his back! Mcdermott defends a rear naked choke attempt by controlling one of Krause's arms.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Krause is hanging on to Mcdermott's back as he tries to escape.
Krause looking to break Mcdermott's wrist control so he can sink in the choke. Mcdermott remaining controlled and patient though - he really has to keep calm otherwise Krause will wrap this one up with the rear naked choke! Mcdermott tries to break free.
Terry Mcdermott has got the better of the ground game so far. A bit of a pause in the action here. Krause controlling the positon. Krause is persistently looking for the submission but Mcdermott is defending it well.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Mcdermott is defending well here and trying to improve his position.
Krause is remaining active here, looking for the choke. The more discerning members of the crowd will appreciate his efforts.
Mcdermott tries to escape but Krause has the hooks in and won't let him break free. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Krause working for a RNC but it's not happening just yet. Mcdermott manages to reverse the position and now he's in Krause's guard. Nice work there by Mcdermott.

That was a close second round but I would say that Bruno Krause will probably get the nod. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. This is the final round!

Mcdermott postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Krause is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Mcdermott, into his guard.
Krause has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. Krause sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Mcdermott's guard. Mcdermott has guillotine here! It looks pretty tight! Could this be all over! No, Krause escapes and passes into side control at the same time. Nice work there by Krause! Krause wants to control but Mcdermott is keeping him busy.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Krause is really struggling to control Mcdermott but he's trying to hold on to the position. Mcdermott is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Krause's leg. He's managed it. Nice work.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Mcdermott is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Krause pulls his head out easily. Krause is figuring out what he wants to do next. Krause is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.

That's four minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Mcdermott throws his legs up looking for a submission but Krause uses it to pass to side control.
