Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Kazaki Fujita (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jake Barbossa (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Fujita's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, Metallica-Enter Sandman. Barbossa has chosen Intergalactic by The Beastie Boys as his entrance music. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
38 - 22 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Kazaki Fujita! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
19 - 18 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Jake Barbossa! The judges for this bout are Micheangelo Fripello, Ryoma Takatsuka and Jeff Smith.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Barbossa throws a hook but Fujita blocks it. Fujita throws a one two combo.
It looks like Jake Barbossa has been cut. Fujita has been working on his boxing with his coaches at Irish Collar-and-Elbow Academy in the buildup to the fight. Barbossa drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles. Barbossa tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Fujita swivels and escapes. Barbossa takes a body punch but keeps moving. Fujita tries to score a power double leg takedown but Barbossa sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Fujita somewhat. Fujita throws a right and a left that both miss. Nice defenses there by Fujita. Fujita connects with a looping right hand.
Kazaki Fujita seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Fujita scores with the left hand. Barbossa knows he should have avoided that one. Barbossa shoots in for a takedown but Fujita shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Fujita bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes. Fujita lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook. Fujita misses with a wild combination.
That's one minute gone in the round. Barbossa dives in and grabs Fujita's left leg, looking for a takedown. Fujita pushes down on Barbossa's head and hops out. Fujita is looking to counter punch. Kazaki Fujita has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jake Barbossa. No luck with that takedown attempt from Fujita. Fujita has closed the distance and engaged Barbossa in a clinch.
Barbossa jumps guard but Fujita stands there with Barbossa around his waist. Barbossa gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

Barbossa misses with an uppercut. Fujita saw that one coming. Barbossa stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush. A big right from Barbossa misses. Fujita throws a nice looking combination but Barbossa bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Barbossa shoots in and bounces Fujita off the cage to secure the takedown into guard. Barbossa trying to control the position from guard on top but Fujita is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Barbossa working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Fujita keeping moving, preventing Barbossa from controlling successfully. Barbossa being controlled here momentarily. We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup. Barbossa trying to control the position from guard on top but Fujita is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Barbossa avoids the body shot from Fujita.
Barbossa takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh. Fujita tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Barbossa manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. Barbossa shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Fujita pinned against the cage. Fujita gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
That's four minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Fujita fails to land with a series of punches.

Luckily it didn't land flush. Barbossa gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there. Fujita ducks under a wild hook from Barbossa. A punch lands to the side of Barbossa 's head but he takes it in his stride. Barbossa lands a really nice looking cross but Fujita seems unphased.

Fujita jabs Barbossa right on the nose. Barbossa blinks but takes it well. Fujita is using his reach advantage well here, landing the more effective single shots from range. Barbossa shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat. The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Barbossa wants to control from the top but Fujita keeps moving. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
That's one minute gone in the round. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Barbossa stands up and waves to Fujita to follow him. Fujita lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Barbossa circles away quickly and effectively. Barbossa shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Fujita's guard. Barbossa sitting in guard here, content to control. Fujita utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Barbossa stops Fujita from standing up.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Fujita has control of Barbossa's left arm, preventing Barbossa from doing any damage. Fujita keeping moving, preventing Barbossa from controlling successfully. Fujita is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Barbossa can do to turn this around? Barbossa throws a strike but Fujita rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top. Barbossa controlling Fujita's posture. Fujita controls the pace of the fight for a moment. Barbossa not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Fujita is working Barbossa over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes. Jake Barbossa has got the better of the ground game so far. Fujita sitting in guard, not really doing much. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. There's a bit of a scramble here and now Barbossa is on top in guard.

That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Barbossa wants to get up but he can't break Fujita's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here. Barbossa wants to control from the top but Fujita keeps moving.
The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet. Fujita stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Fujita wants it to stay on the feet. A nice inside leg kick there by Fujita. That's going to slow Barbossa down. Fujita is using his height advantage well here, landing a good percentage of his punches. Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Fujita, as that shot connected.

The fighters are pinned against the cage. Fujita manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Barbossa missing with a left hand there. Fujita was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one. Fujita shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Barbossa napping and manages to drive through into side control! And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Both fighters circle each other, looking for something big. Fujita moves in and throws an overhand right. That hurt Barbossa! Fujita continues to tee off on Barbossa, landing with a left and a right! Fujita connects with a right hand that leaves Barbossa sleeping against the cage! What a finish by Fujita!
