Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Illias Illiadis (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jimmy Snuka (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Snuka has chosen Superfly by Curtis Mayfield as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Snuka gets in close and instigates a clinch. A real battle for position is taking place between these two warriors. We've been informed that Snuka has been sparring a lot of Muay Thai in the buildup to this fight so let's see if that has an impact on the result. Illiadis is working hard here but doesn't seem to be able to control effectively, up against the cage. Illiadis seems a little flustered. He's come in with the intention of controlling the clinch but Snuka is preventing him from doing so, at least for the moment. Illiadis's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button! Snuka wants to take the fight to the mat but Illiadis manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch. Snuka content to slow the pace in the clinch.
Illiadis lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Snuka backwards. Illiadis pushes Snuka back against the cage and lands a hook to the side of the head. Snuka tries for a takedown but Illiadis manages to get underhooks.
Illiadis is stalling here. The referee will be looking to step in if he doesn't pick up the pace. I was talking to Illiadis's coach per-fight and he was telling me that they'd been working on the clinch in the runup to this fight. Snuka taking a break, stalling in the clinch.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Illiadis takes a shot to the head. Illiadis has Snuka pressed against the cage.
A head punch on the inside from Illiadis fails to land. Snuka is working hard here but doesn't seem to be able to control effectively, up against the cage.
That's one minute gone in the round. Snuka misses with a hook from the clinch. An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Illiadis. Snuka has clasped his hands together around Illiadis's back... aaand, he's got a takedown into side control. Nicely done. Snuka working away diligently from side control. Landing strikes effectively there - that will score him some points on the judges scorecards.
Snuka is trying to get an arm triangle but Illiadis is defending well. Snuka scores with a couple of short elbows. Illiadis prevents Snuka from improving position. Snuka tries for a kimura but Illiadis is defending well. Snuka fails to land a wild elbow strike.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Illiadis is not content to let Snuka control the position. Snuka is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Illiadis has escaped the position, nice work there. Illiadis is looking for a sweep. Snuka working away. Snuka landing strikes. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Illiadis is not content to let Snuka control the position. The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Illiadis wants to control but Snuka postures up.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Illiadis is positioning himself to get back to half guard. Illiadis manages to get one leg in to regain half guard. Snuka thows a huge punch but Illiadis dodges it nicely.

That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Snuka is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Illiadis is just riding it out for now. Snuka eventually gives up the hold. Illiadis wants to get back to full guard. Illiadis is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Snuka's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Snuka's back! The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Snuka is really stuck here.
Snuka just trying to survive but Illiadis is wriggling into a better position, looking to finish. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Illiadis doesn't have the hooks in and Snuka manages to turn into his guard.
Illiadis looking to hit a scissor sweep but Snuka is one step ahead there. Snuka trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Jimmy Snuka dominated that round. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
Snuka throws a body punch but Illiadis moves out of range. Snuka has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Illiadis throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Snuka misses with a straight left. Illiadis slips a jab from Snuka. Illiadis throws a series of punches but Snuka avoids them all with ease. Snuka lands a right hook to the body.
Snuka tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Snuka pushes Illiadis up against the cage in a clinch. Snuka is working hard here but doesn't seem to be able to control effectively, up against the cage. Illiadis tries to stall but Snuka uses the opportunity to gain a better position.

Illiadis makes some space for himself and lands an uppercut. Illiadis is trying to slow down the pace of the fight but Snuka is keeping busy. Snuka decides to pull guard. Illiadis wants to control from the top but Snuka keeps moving. Illiadis wants to pass the guard but Snuka is keeping the position. Snuka has his feet on Illiadis's thighs here. He's pushed Illiadis off and worked for a very quick armbar from the bottom! He's flipped onto his stomach and he's cranking hard on the arm! Illiadis screams in pain and taps out! This one is all over!
