Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Jonatan Jose (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Burer Mutant (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
11 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Jonatan Jose! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
12 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Burer Mutant! The judges for this bout are Yukihiro Yamamoto, Hirohito Nitta and Ren Mimura.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Mutant throws a hook but Jose blocks it. Jose seemed to be looking to counter by closing the distance. Mutant doesn't manage to clinch there - Jose circles away.
Mutant lands a two punch combo.
Mutant is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. Mutant swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Jose throws a looping overhand right but Mutant ducks down to avoid it. Mutant throws the left hand but Jose avoids the punch easily. Jose half commits to a counter takedown before pushing away, out of range. Nice sprawl there from Mutant as Jose shoots in. Jose shoots in and bounces Mutant off the cage to secure the takedown into guard. Jose trying to control the position from guard on top but Mutant is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Jose scoring with some ground and pound. Jose is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact. Jose has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Mutant trying to control the position here.
That's one minute gone in the round. Jose lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard. Mutant tries to land a sweep but no joy. Jose tries to free his leg and advance position but Mutant is retaining full guard. Jose is looking to work some ground and pound but Mutant has wrist control. Jose throws a strike but Mutant rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top. Jose looking to hit a scissor sweep but Mutant is one step ahead there.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Mutant looking to improve position, pressing down on Jose's thigh with his hand. Jose seems to be working to lock up a guilotine though... is Mutant paying attention? Apparently not! He's locked it up tight! Mutant's face has turned purple! Will he tap? Will he! YES! He's tapped! Jose picked his opening and made it count! Great finish!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:39 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Guillotine). Jonatan Jose! During a confident post fight interview, Jonatan Jose thanked all his fans. He seemed very genuine when describing how motivated his fans keep him.
