Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Shino Ohio (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ryu Kanehara (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Ryu Kanehara!
The judges for this bout are Michael Johnstone, Daniel Franklin and David Hoff.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Kanehara rushes Ohio and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Kanehara drops down looking for an ankle pick but Ohio pulls his leg out and moves away.

Ryu Kanehara seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

That was a close round but I would say that Shino Ohio will probably get the nod.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

Ohio has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Kanehara uses from the top position.
