Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jimmy Lowler (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Peter Driscoll (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Well, the cameraman is lingering on a pretty young lady for a bit too long there. Keep your eyes on the prize buddy or you'll miss the fighter intros!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Jimmy Lowler!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Peter Driscoll!
The judges for this bout are David Hoff, Daniel Franklin and Peter Branson.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lowler shoots in for a takedown but Driscoll shows good takedown defense.
Lowler will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Jimmy Lowler seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Lowler shoots in but doesn't get the takedown

and Driscoll moves into the clinch.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jimmy Lowler. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Lowler jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Driscoll walks away with a smile on his face. Lowler gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Driscoll fails with a takedown attempt.
Driscoll shoots in looking for a takedown but Lowler manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Driscoll's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.

Driscoll gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Driscoll bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Lowler's guard.

Lowler looking to hit a scissor sweep but Driscoll is one step ahead there.
Lowler can't keep his opponent in guard - Driscoll advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.

Driscoll wants to get back to his feet.
Driscoll seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.

Driscoll escapes and gets back to his feet.
Lowler shoots and misses
and Driscoll counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Driscoll shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Lowler but Lowler pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Lowler appears to be looking for a counter takedown.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Driscoll shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Lowler pinned against the cage. Lowler gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

Driscoll wants to get back to his feet but Lowler is in a dominant position and won't allow it.

Driscoll has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Lowler is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Driscoll.
Driscoll manages to work his way to half guard, despite Lowler's best efforts.
Driscoll is pressing down on Lowler's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.
Driscoll is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Lowler is controlling him.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Lowler tries to free his leg and advance position but Driscoll is retaining full guard.
Lowler with a flurry of punches that miss.
Lowler might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Lowler prevents Driscoll from getting back to his feet.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

Driscoll closes the distance and clinches.
Lowler tries to pull guard but Driscoll holds him up against the cage and eventually Lowler drops back down to his feet.
Driscoll goes for a takedown attempt but Lowler pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
Driscoll throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Horrible takedown attempt by Driscoll or perhaps it was just good defense by Lowler, which made it look bad.

The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

Lowler gets a double leg takedown into Driscoll's guard.
Lowler postures up in Driscoll's guard and throws a big left but Driscoll blocks it.
Lowler lands a couple of elbows.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Jimmy Lowler will probably get the nod.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.

Driscoll dives in for a single leg takedown but Lowler sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.
Lowler shoots for a double leg takedown but Driscoll sprawls well. He's pushed Lowler's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

Driscoll feints a jab promting Lowler to slip. Driscoll then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Lowler slips again and ducks right into an uppercut.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close second round but I would say that Jimmy Lowler will probably get the nod.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! This is the final round!



Driscoll gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Lowler to score an easy takedown into full guard.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Lowler accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Driscoll is just content to waste time from the top position. Lowler takes advantage of the situation and regains full guard.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

Driscoll tries to score a power double leg takedown but Lowler sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Driscoll somewhat.

Driscoll stuffs the takedown attempt from Lowler. Lowler gets slowly back to his feet.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

Driscoll gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Peter Driscoll has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Jimmy Lowler is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.

Jimmy Lowler showed his dominance in that final round.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for Lowler, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
