Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the super heavyweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 9 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Diego Sanchez!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Marcel Adur!
The judges for this bout are Paulo Santos, Edson Gomes and Matheus Silva.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Sanchez shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Sanchez was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!

Sanchez looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything.

Sanchez wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Adur, who protects the arm well.
Sanchez advances nicely into full mount.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Sanchez looking for an armbar but decides to keep the dominant position instead.
Sanchez can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Adur is looking to escape.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Sanchez is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Adur has managed to escape the submission attempt.
Sanchez trying to control but Adur is having none of it.

Sanchez is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Adur to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Adur shrugs it off.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Sanchez takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
Sanchez seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Adur for as long as he can get away with.

Sanchez has hold of Adur's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Adur manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.

Sanchez goes for an armbar but he's fallen flat on his backside there and now Adur is on top in guard.

That's three minutes gone in the round.

Sanchez looking to hit a scissor sweep but Adur is one step ahead there.
Adur tries to free his leg and advance position but Sanchez is retaining full guard.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Adur is fighting to break Sanchez's control of his arms but Sanchez is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.
Sanchez is trying to control the position but Adur postures up.

Sanchez has managed to work for a loose triangle. I think Adur should be able to defend this one pretty easily though. Oh, Sanchez has tightened it up now! Adur should have reacted faster there - he's in big trouble and yes, he's tapped out! This one is all over!
