Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Marmita Cheia (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Zach Nicholas (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Cheia comes to the cage accompanied by Horas de Matar. Marmita Cheia has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nicholas dives in for a single leg takedown but Cheia sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.

Nicholas tries to keep at a distance but Cheia has taken the fight into the clinch.

Nicholas tries to close the distance and clinch but Cheia swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

Cheia shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Nicholas is trying to defend but Cheia finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Cheia in particular looking to stall.

Cheia lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Nicholas circles away quickly and effectively.

The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Cheia takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life.

Nicholas throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Cheia escapes and throws Nicholas's legs to the side, diving into side control!

Cheia stands up and we're back to a striking position.

Nicholas darts in looking for a takedown but Cheia gets double underhooks and turns Nicholas into the cage.

and Cheia counters with a nice body shot.

Nicholas fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Cheia sprawls well initially but Nicholas persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
