Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Lazano De Anda (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Hugh Janus (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Hugh Janus told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
20 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Lazano De Anda! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
12 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Hugh Janus! The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, Frank Antenori and Timothy Bukovac.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Janus tries to clinch up. Janus has De Anda up against the cage in a clinch.
De Anda tries to break the clinch but Janus is controlling the position. De Anda changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Janus fights it off and pushes away nicely.
Janus tries to clinch there but De Anda circles away.
Janus tries to close the distance and clinch but De Anda swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Janus tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. A jab from De Anda misses. De Anda throws the left hand but Janus avoids the punch easily. De Anda bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Janus's head backwards. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Janus is looking to clinch. De Anda throws a jab but it's blocked by Janus. De Anda looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. Janus moves into the clinch successfully.
That's one minute gone in the round. Janus creates a bit of space for himself and sneaks an elbow through De Anda's defenses. De Anda looking to stall.
Janus lands a knee to the head there! That was nasty!
Janus lands an elbow just above De Anda 's eye. Janus scores a nice knee to the body.
Janus comes over the top with an elbow. That landed flush. De Anda takes an elbow to the forehead. Janus tries to land knees in the clinch but De Anda avoids the damage to the body. Janus tries to land a knee to the head but misses.
Janus drops De Anda with a big knee straight up the middle! De Anda is covering up against the cage but manages to escape and gets back to his feet!
De Anda is rocked! The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Janus moves into the clinch. Oh De Anda is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! Janus working De Anda over with knees to the body. De Anda takes a knee right on the jaw!
That's two minutes gone in the round. Janus has De Anda pressed against the cage. He pushes De Anda back and as he springs towards him off the cage, Janus throws a beautiful elbow that sends De Anda crashing to the floor! Janus piles on the pressure with more strikes! De Anda is flailing away but he's not defending himself and the referee steps in to stop the fight!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:10 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Hugh Janus! After the fight, Hugh Janus was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
