Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Will Boulks (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Connor McGready (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Connor McGready was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
19 - 13 - 1, fighting out of London, Will Boulks! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
6 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Connor McGready! The judges for this bout are James Ackerman, James Atkins and Daniel Bishop.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Boulks bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes. McGready misses with a looping right. Boulks closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming McGready to the mat! McGready manages to get full guard. Boulks throws a big right hand that misses. Boulks working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. Boulks in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. Boulks is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions. McGready working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Boulks. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Boulks throwing strikes from guard but McGready blocks nicely. Boulks trying to control but McGready is working from the bottom. We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
That's one minute gone in the round. Boulks with a flurry of punches that miss.
The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity. Boulks fails with a takedown attempt from distance. McGready scores with a punch to the head. Boulks shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it. Excellent takedown into side control there by Boulks. Boulks lands a decent elbow from side control. McGready is trying to escape and get back to his feet. McGready is trying to improve his position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. McGready is trying to buck Boulks off. Boulks throws a knee to the body but it doesn't do much damage. Boulks scores with punches from side control. Boulks moves into full mount! The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. McGready working to try and regain half guard.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Boulks throwing strikes here but McGready is writhing around nicely and avoiding any serious damage.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Boulks fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!

Lucky escape for McGready because Boulks loaded up on that one. Boulks has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of McGready's face.
Boulks breaks from McGready's wrist control and lands an elbow. McGready tries to hold on but Boulks pushes him away. McGready is in a horrible position here, under a barrage of strikes, he's managing to avoid any damage.
McGready is working to get back to half guard.

That's four minutes gone in the round. McGready is trying to get back to his feet but can't. Boulks landing shots from mount. This has been an exciting period of action! Boulks putting on the heat here with some good ground and pound! Boulks lands a couple of nice shots there from mount.
Boulks raining down shots from the mount! Boulks has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Boulks landing strikes from the mount and McGready is in trouble! Boulks lands a couple of nice shots there from mount.
McGready is wriggling around trying to escape.
Boulks postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. McGready looks a forlorn figure.

Boulks is looking to clinch but McGready is avoiding it.
A momentary lapse in concentration from McGready enables Boulks to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. McGready manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat. Boulks is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that McGready can do to turn this around? Boulks throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. McGready avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Boulks content to stall in guard here. Boulks throwing strikes from guard but McGready blocks nicely. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Boulks accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity. McGready misses the jab. McGready loads up on a big right hand but Boulks slips the punch. Connor McGready is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Boulks looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? McGready is fending him off so far but Boulks persists. Nope, McGready circles away and we're back to standing. McGready bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut. McGready catches Boulks with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong! McGready gets caught napping as Boulks dives in and scores a takedown. McGready manages to retain guard. Boulks trying to control but McGready is working from the bottom. McGready preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Boulks stops McGready from standing up. Boulks looking to sit in guard and control but McGready gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. Boulks not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Boulks is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Boulks wants to sweep but no luck. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! McGready trying to stand up but can't free himself from Boulks's guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Boulks is trying to control the position but McGready postures up. Boulks escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. McGready gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Boulks lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard. Boulks postures up in McGready's guard and throws a big left but McGready blocks it. Boulks showing good wrestling skills to control the position.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Boulks scoring with punches to the head and body. Boulks throws a big elbow that misses. Boulks working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. McGready wriggles free and stands up. Boulks fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging McGready to the ground. Boulks is now in McGready's guard. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. McGready is looking to stand up but Boulks isn't so interested in that idea. Boulks throws a big right hand that misses. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

McGready tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Boulks was well out of range. Poor timing from McGready. Boulks is looking to counter the offense by McGready and move into the clinch. McGready throws a front kick aimed at Boulks's knee but Boulks avoids it well. Boulks half commits to a counter takedown before pushing away, out of range. Boulks uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from McGready. McGready misses with a lunging right hand
and Boulks holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch. Boulks keeps the fight in the clinch, despite McGready's efforts to push away. Boulks is looking to take this one to the mat. Boulks tightens his grip and picks McGready up, before dumping him to the ground. McGready manages to land in guard. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. McGready is pulling down on Boulks's head to control his posture. Boulks trying to control the position from guard on top but McGready is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
That's one minute gone in the round. Boulks prevents McGready from getting back to his feet. Boulks lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard. Boulks stops McGready from standing up. Boulks postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head. Boulks stays in close to McGready's body and controls the position. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Boulks trying to control but McGready is working from the bottom.

Boulks shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has McGready pinned against the cage. McGready gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. McGready displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Boulks. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Will Boulks. That's going to take a lot out of him. Boulks shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Boulks showed some decent athleticism there. Boulks is nestled in close to McGready, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Boulks missing with some ground and pound from the half guard. McGready really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Boulks. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. McGready avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Boulks. The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Boulks connects with a nice short shot to McGready's temple. Boulks lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt. The referee calls for the fighters to work.
Boulks is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound. McGready keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound. McGready preventing any damage for now, controlling his opponent's head.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Boulks working McGready over with strikes. Boulks wants to pass the guard but McGready is defending well. Boulks missing with some ground and pound from the half guard. Nice strikes from Boulks there. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Boulks drops an elbow to the side of McGready's head. Nice strikes from Boulks there.
And that's the end of the fight! Will Boulks showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Boulks, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
