The judges for this bout are Daniel Bishop, Colin Fotheringham and Steven Brown.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hatfield defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Handley.
Handley fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Hatfield to the ground. Handley is now in Hatfield's guard.
Handley stands up from guard. Let's bang!
Handley drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
Handley is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
Handley stops Hatfield from standing up.
Handley postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Hatfield is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Handley, into his guard.

Handley is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Hatfield defends well.
Hatfield will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Handley is adopting a defensive guard.
Handley is looking for a triangle but Hatfield pushes his legs off easily.
Handley wants to stand and escape but Hatfield is having none of it.

Handley is working actively from the bottom, looking for submissions. He's escaped his hips to the side and he's going for an armbar! Hatfield has his hands clasped together but Handley extends and breaks Hatfield's desperate grasp, forcing a tap out due to armbar! Nice BJJ displayed there by Handley.
